The cocker spaniel is a sweet, loyal, loving breed. They are so loving that
they make terrible watch dogs. Cocker spaniels are probably they sweetest,
kindest dog ever. And they are also so cute.
Cocker spaniels have long fluffy ear and that's what a person is going
to notice first. Second the round dark eyes that make them so cute. Last
the compact body the lives about to 12-15 years but only if you take care of it
right.
Cocker spaniels can live just about anywhere. The breed will be just
fine in an apartment as long you give plenty of exercise. It would be good
if you have a pretty big yard or a park close by.
They also are one of the healthiest dogs but they do have problems. Like
knee cap problems and ear infections. So taking it to the vet often will
be necessary.
You should groom them every day. They can get knots in the hair. And
yes they do shed a lot. You always want to brush them under the
ears too.
They can be pretty stubborn to train sometimes. So you do want to train
from the beginning. If you do all that the cocker spaniel will be a great
family pet.
